Kim Seelbrede has worked with some of the world’s most well-known personalities and high-profile clients from TV personalities, musicians, writers, politicians, Fortune 500 CEOs, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives and trauma survivors. Kimberly Seelbrede, LCSW is a licensed clinical psychotherapist (NYS 079234) who works as both a therapist and a coach. She has an office in Manhattan and works online as well via phone, Skype, FaceTime or other HIPPA-compliant platform. Often drawing upon a felt-sense of intuition, she believes strongly in listening beyond spoken words to hear the heart of what is often unsaid, and considers unconscious conflicts and blocks as likely obstacles that interfere with client goal attainment, success and happiness.
Educated at New York University and having received advanced post-graduate training, Kim Seelbrede, LCSW is a clinical psychotherapist who has trained with world-renowned pioneers in the fields of psychology and wellness, and is expertly trained in the most effective cutting-edge treatments. With extensive general and specialized training, as well as a deep commitment to integrative approaches, Kim Seelbrede weaves mindfulness practices into gold-standard treatments such as: DBT, CBT, psychodynamic/object relations /relational psychotherapy, EMDR & focusing techniques. Her exquisite dedication to balancing sensitivity with delicate concerns alongside a relational and problem-focused approach is rare and reflects the highly personalized care she takes with each and every patient she accepts into her practice.
As a self-care, well-being expert, patient advocate and seasoned clinician, she often works with individuals struggling with difficult-to-treat conditions. She has a particular passion for providing consultation and education to hospitals, medical schools, students, and other health professionals about the importance of trauma-informed care in medicine.
So why would a traditionally-trained psychotherapist coach clients on the side? Because it's really fun! Many individuals would prefer to leave the past where it belongs and focus on goal attainment and solutions to move their lives in the direction they desire. Life coaching with a therapist can shine the light on any obstacles that may be blocking progress and leverage client strengths to build a life more aligned with one's true nature and vision. I give clients the tools and tricks as well as a map of how to reach those often elusive goals. I have a special interest in coaching and working with clients who have health challenges such as autoimmune disorders or other chronic conditions and are motivated to make the necessary lifestyle changes to experience enhanced well-being.
Kim Seelbrede uses creative, effective coaching and blends evidenced-based therapies such as CBT and a depth-focused process (working with the unconscious) to help her clients become effective and powerful in their lives. Her work involves an intelligent fusion of coaching, depth psychology, EMDR and mind-body wisdom and the creative integration of these elements to support client growth and transformation. Kimberly's past and current clients include CEOs, top athletes, entertainers, celebrities, writers, creatives, speakers, salespeople, managers, executives, entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, parents, adolescents and other high-profile clients
